Go to bed at a reasonable time.
Wake up at 11:30pm to a screaming child because they just want you to hold them.
Go back to sleep at 12am.
Wake up at 2:00am to a screaming child because they lost their pacifier.
Go back to sleep at 2:20am.
Wake up at 4:00am to a screaming child because they want to eat.
Go back to sleep at 4:45am.
Wake up at 6:00am to a screaming child who then stops crying when you get to their room.
Go back to sleep at 6:15am.
Wake up at 8:00am to a screaming child who has soaked through their diaper and left a nasty mess in it as well.
Don’t go back to sleep.
Throw the laundry in the washer.
Feed the screaming child again.
Realize your head has been pounding since 6:00am and you still don’t have your cup of coffee/tea.
Who knew you didn’t have to go out partying all night to get a hangover. Just join mommy-hood and you’ll be all set!
