How I’m Feeling/Updates:
And I’m still huge. The end. This opening statement I believe will not change until the babies are born. Scratch that, until I’m back to a normal size months after they are born.
I have an appointment tomorrow for my fortnightly ultrasound & appointment with the consultant. AND…..For those of you who don’t speak “proper” English – in American English that sentence translates to: ‘I have an appointment tomorrow for my bi-monthly/every-other-week ultrasound & appointment with the doctor.’ You may be laughing but when they told me I would have appointments fortnightly I had no idea what that meant. I know. I’m 30 and had no idea. ANYWAY….I’m super excited to see these girls and see how much they’ve grown bc I sure have grown! I may stop comparing my belly to my past pregnancies at this point – because – well – there’s really no comparing singleton pregnancies with a twin pregnancy. lol. We’ll see though. Maybe I’ll go till 30 wks and then stop. What do you think??
I have been a cleaning machine lately! Don’t worry, I don’t clean like a crazy person every day all day I just do little bits throughout the day. The boys have been great helpers, they put their own dishes in the sink, put their own toys away & that my friends is the true answer to sanity with toddlers (or sanity while pregnant with twins and you literally can’t bend over). Either way, I’m a happy lady.
Sleeping has become quite hit or miss lately. I either have a solid sleep but still wake up feeling tired OR the more normal occurrence is that it takes me an hour or so to fall asleep so I’m finally down around 11/11:30pm, then I wake up around 2am with major body aches & heartburn, fall back asleep around 3am and then am up around 6am. And would you look at that – it’s in 3hr increments – just like a nursing baby – except I don’t have my babies yet so I would like more sleep please!
Mobility is now confined to walking and lifting objects under a certain weight limit & squats. I only wear slip on shoes so I don’t have to tie anything, putting on my underwear is a chore, my husband lifts me from sitting positions on the couch & floor, and praise GOD for the van so the kids can get themselves in & out of their car seats themselves! When I sit down I have to sit reclined back otherwise I squish the girls and they aren’t to keen on that.
The girls are still VERY active. Yesterday I felt them kicking / hitting each other. ha ha. It was pretty funny until Abigail decided that it would be a good idea to shove her bottom under my ribs while Livia shoved on my left hip at the same time. Thanks girls. Thanks for that.
I started at 127 before I got pregnant – but was trying to get down to 125. So I consider my “goal” weight to be my “start” weight so that I can judge what I’m gaining based off of where I want to be afterwards.

So I gained over 2 lbs this week which seems a bit high. I’m hoping it’s water weight since we’re finally having summer over here. It’s in the high 70’s/low 80’s which seems very “cool” to all you American’s but here’s the thing, we don’t have AC over here….so when it gets into the low 80’s it’s pretty piping warm in our house.
