I’m going crazy people. They are only a few months away from being an entire year old! These two girls are amazing. I seriously can’t say it enough. They are AMAZING! They rarely cry, they don’t get scared of other people, they can skip a nap and not turn into terrors & they SLEEP!!! People are shocked with how much these girls snooze. I’m talking 3 naps a day for a total of about 5-6hrs & about 12hrs of sleep at night. Yeah. I got the jack pot…..although all my kids slept like this so I’m thinking it maybe has to do with something I’ve done. 😉 I must be super Mom. (kidding, but i do have a post about that topic for another day)
They are taking about 4 bottles a day. Their first is about 8oz, the middle two are 6oz & the last bottle is 8oz for about 28oz a day. They don’t always drink that much, on average I’d say they drink about 25oz and I was worried about that since technically they should be eating more. The doc told me to give them what they want bc they’re healthy. So that’s what I’ll do!
They have solids maybe 1-2 times a day. I typically just give them fruits/veggies with a little oatmeal mixed in. I’d say they average about 4oz of food a day, but that’s only if I remember to give it to them! I’ve been so bad about this! I recently started giving them water w/a splash of juice in a sippy cup to help with their teething & they really love it. They also love frozen mango in the mesh teethers. When I had the boys I made all their baby food….but this go around I just don’t have the time, so I plan on getting the fruits/veg in the jars and then making the meat meals w/other fruits & veggies that they can’t get in the jars. I’m using the Beach Nut brand for the girls fruits/veggies & oatmeal.
My little sunshine. You are still sleeping just as well, although in the evenings you can be a bit naughty trying to play with your sister. You are scooting all around the place! You get up on all 4’s for a little while & do a little shake but you haven’t put it into crawling motion quite yet. You have NO problems getting where you need to go though! You just wiggle/roll to where you want to be.
You don’t talk very much, but when you do it’s for the world to hear. You love squealing!! You have recently started sucking in your bottom lip and I’m pretty sure it’s because you have a little tooth that is going to pop through any time now. Those darn teeth have been giving you a run for your money, but they haven’t stopped you from shining that joyful smile of yours!
You have really been loving your brothers singing/playing with you, jumping in the johny jump up, sucking on frozen mangos in your mesh eater & giving yourself diluted juice in a sippy cup! You’re such a big girl! 🙂
You aren’t really into snuggles these days. If I try to snuggle you, you think it’s play time: grabbing my hair, pulling my ears, sucking on my necklace; but you better believe I still get my kisses & hugs in and you love every minute of it giving me huge smiles.
My little love bug. You love your sleep! When I lay you down, you let out a sad little cry until I give you your paci and then you lay your little head down & go to sleep. The only time we’ve been having issues with sleep is your last nap of the day. You just want momma snuggles & I’ve been happy to oblige. After a few minutes of cuddles, I lay you back down and you go to sleep all on your own. You love to roll places when you need something. You’ll get on all 4’s & do a little rock, but that’s about it.
You are still a littler chatter box. You have made a few new sounds: p, b, d. But nothing consistent and that’s okay! You’ll do it when you want. But you do try SO hard – studying my mouth so you can try to make the sounds yourself. Smart girl. You are sucking in your bottom lip, those bottom teeth just need to come through to give you some relief!
You have really been loving: when Daddy comes home – you LOVE hanging out with him, when big brother Cohen sings to you, the exersaucer & you recently learned how to hold your sippy cup! Good girl!
You aren’t really into being laid down on the floor right after a nap, you’d prefer to have a few extra snuggles first and then be put down. You don’t like when we walk away from you either, you’d prefer to have anyone in sight then to be alone.
Sorry the quality isn’t so great on this but I LOVE it! I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be able to do this “pose” but I love seeing my girls grow! I tell you what, if I could go back and tell the “me” in October that it would all be worth it, I totally would. Those horrible, sleepless nights were BAD but I honestly don’t even think of those days now because our house is so filled with joy with these little angels.
